Since I started my health make-over and you know what I've lost?? I'll tell you what I've lost! A whopping 2 pounds! However, in all fairness, my consistency in walking has dropped off sharply and my sleeping schedule is out of whack. I'm staying up too late and getting up too late, especially the last 3 weeks or so. Jay was gone for 2 of them, so I wasn't getting much of anything done during the day and would stay up late into the night to get stuff done for school or whatever.
On the other hand, I have noticed my body shape changing and some of my clothes are fitting me better. I took my measurements probably 6 weeks ago and I took them again yesterday. Here are the (embarrassing) results:
1st measurement session:
Bustline: 35 inches
Waistline: 39 inches (hey!! Don't judge!)
Hips: 41 inches
2nd measurement session:
Bustline: 32 inches
Waistline: 35 inches
Hips: 39 inches
So, even though I'm only down to 130 lbs, my body is obviously, you know, shifting the fat around.
Once again, my goal is 120lbs or so. I finally went down and rode the stationary bike for 20 minutes. It is a hand-me-down from my grandfather and of course, he had to have all the cool gadgets! :) So it takes your heart rate and clocks your speed and distance and all that good stuff.
I rode for 20 minutes
I rode 5.35 miles and burned just over 250 calories (and 79 fat calories).
then I lifted some weights, concentrating on my arms. I used my tension band on my legs (all quad and glute exercises from when I had knee surgery, to strengthen those muscles so I wouldn't hurt or strain my knee by assisting those muscles to take tension and/or help correct poor alignment). I had on my mp3 player and enjoyed the lack of demands that comes with working out at 9 o'clock at night!
45 minutes flew by.
Now I'm hungry.
So into a bowl went a little of this, a little of that:
Low Fat Cheezits
Sunflower Seeds, out of the shell, no salt
Whole natural almonds
Kettle Corn, organic (just a handful!....or two...)
Look, I'm doing the best I can. I understand that if I want to lose more weight, I have to do more, whether that's more exercise or better eating, but I am a busy mom and I am just taking this one day at a time. Some days, really good, other days, crash and burn. Had a baggie of Skittles today, for example, and about an hour later, boy was my stomach complaining.
Maybe white sugar is the devil!
Anybody want 2 packets of Skittles? I'm too cheap to throw them away! lol
Tomorrow, another chance! :)
