(Cook)Book Review: Crock Pot - The Original Slow Cooker

Yes, it's like a double-whammy! :)  Just discovered I can write a review on GoodReads and it will give it to me in html so I can post it here! :) Yay!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This cookbook holds real visual appeal for me! There are pictures in the margins of the items needed to fix the recipe. All of the pictures of the finished products are delish! Mine is a small spiral-bound that I got from my son's fundraiser and it fits easily onto my cookbook shelf. Most recipes are only 3 or 4 steps (although it IS slow cooker, so it shouldn't be complicated!) but it couldn't be easier to use. Not all of the recipes appeal to me (hence the 4 star review) however it does include side dishes and some yummy looking desserts!

  1. I love my slow cooker! When I worked 1st shift, I used it almost everyday. It was so nice not to have to worry about cooking when I finally got home. Now that I'm a 2nd shifter, I cook in the morning before I go to work, so my beloved slow cooker is mostly reserved for days off.
